It was a great weekend for the running of the 41st annual Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach. It turned out to be a warm, sunny three days of fun, food and racing on the streets of Long Beach, CA. The festivities officially started on Friday, April 17,2015, and continued through Sunday, April 19, 2015. The highlight of the weekend was the Grand Prix held Sunday afternoon. It was a great race with Scott Dixon in car 9 winning his first Long Beach Grand Prix. Other races and events included the Tudor United SportsCar Championship hosted by Tequila Patron SportsCar Showcase on Saturday, Indy Lights race and the Speed Energy Formula Off-Road Series, both held on Sunday, and as the last event of the weekend, the Pirelli World Challenge (comprised of three classes) held Sunday afternoon. Attendance totaled approximately 181,000, making for a busy weekend. In addition to all the racing, the convention center hosted a number of race teams that visitors could view, a Lifestyle Expo and Family Fun Zone, which included video games, extreme sports demonstrations, an electric cart track, and a wide variety of vendors. Tecate hosted the Tecate Light Fiesta Friday concert Friday night, and on Saturday evening there was the Rock-N-Roar concert featuring Vince Niel of Motley Crue. All in all, it was a really great weekend.
