The California Festival of Speed, held at the Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, CA the weekend of April 10, 11 and 12, 2015 is the premier Porsche event on the west coast. This year’s event was hosted by Porsche of San Diego and Zone 8 of the Porsche Club of America, the largest chapter in the United States. (Where else would you find more Porsches than in southern California?) Festivities included amateur racing, time trials, track tours (it’s a blast to drive your own car on the track), a variety of food trucks, and the opportunity to drive a new Porsche with a PCA instructor. On Saturday there was the “Porsche Corral” with hundreds of Porsches lined up one after another, a Concours d’Elegance, swap meet, and a display of Porsche GT cars, including the GT, GT2, 3 and 4, the GTS, plus a couple of Carrera GT’s. There was even a 918 and Enzo Ferrari displayed in the vendor area. All in all, it was a great weekend with fellow Porsche and car enthusiasts.
Regardless of what you drive, make plans to join us for the 2016 edition of the California Festival of Speed. I’m sure you will have a great time.
